I was disappointed in the way he treated me when he was on The View. … [She treated me] impostor. Basically, he said, “Are you responsible for getting HIV because you live a promiscuous life?” And I immediately turned to my husband and said: “Do you have unprotected sex with your husband? I mean, it was terrible. This was one of the low points in travel I had after landing on Oprah. And so I’m not surprised that he’s taking that position with the Christmas movies that he’s going to be in, but it’s very disappointing.

We did this work together… You must have a lot of people in your life who are LGBTQ+, at least from your past. And how he got to this place worries me a little. It’s almost like he’s regressed somehow. I don’t know if it’s his brother or his family. I don’t know where it comes from, but it’s really disappointing. I think she could be a fantastic ally…
He noted that if he could “open up again,” he could be a great ally. Pintauro also spoke about Bure’s religious beliefs, saying that his faith is deeply linked to who he is. When it comes to his faith, Bure spoke about how religious she felt and growing up in Los Angeles was difficult, but she has made it clear that her faith is a big part of her life.
