King Carlos III will be able to count on the presence of his Monegasque counterpart for his coronation. In an interview with the magazine PeoplePrince Albert of Monaco confirms that he will travel to London to attend the ceremony on May 6, accompanied by his wife Charlene.
“We will go, that’s for sure,” he told US media. “You know, I don’t know how many coronations of an English monarch I’ll attend in my lifetime, so let’s enjoy this one.”
The last British coronation dates back to June 2, 1953. It was that of Queen Elizabeth II, who reigned for 70 years until her death on September 8 at the age of 96. At age 74, her eldest son Charles hers assumed the throne of England.

“I’m sure it will be an amazing and very moving ceremony,” Prince Albert continued. “We have been in contact since Her Majesty became King, but I have not spoken to her directly since the Queen’s funeral on September 19.
He does not know, however, if the twins he had with Charlene de Monaco, Jacques and Gabriella (8 years old) will participate in the festivities: “I do not know if the other members of the family will be able to be welcomed.” And I think the children may be a little young for this kind of ceremony.”
Prince Charles’ coronation ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey and will be led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, as it has been since 1066. Announced as sober, in response to rising cost of living he flew to the UK. Preparations have already begun, with some modifications made to the St. Edward’s wreath in preparation for the event. People reports a list of 2000 invitees.
