Attention! The following contains spoilers for the Special forces: the toughest test in the world episode “Pressure”. Read at your own risk!
Special forces: the toughest test in the world showed departures for medical reasons and a singer quit in frustration. One thing we haven’t seen so far is staff removing a participant for insubordination, but that could change soon. The latest episode proved that this could happen in no time. What’s more surprising is who was involved in the incident, as the Super Bowl champion. danny adola may be about to leave.
Danny Amendola has overcome every challenge so far, so what happened in “Pressure” was unexpected. Here’s what happened and why it seems like you’re on a fast track out of the show right when it gets to the halfway point.
Danny Amendola was reprimanded
Special forces: the toughest test in the world it all started with the staff discussing the performances of all the remaining attendees up to that point. There was universal consensus that Danny Amendola is physically one of the strongest contenders on the show, but he could be pushed a bit further. As such, it appeared that the staff had intentionally tried to annoy the former NFL wide receiver during the episode, ultimately forcing him to respond.
If Danny Amendola is removed from Special forces: the toughest test in the worldfans can still catch the former New England Patriots star 80 for Brady.
After being scolded People editor Mark “Billy” Billingham After the driving escape course challenge, Danny Amendola tried to give his two cents about how he was dealt with and how disrespectful he felt. Suffice it to say, that’s not how things work in the Army, and Amendola’s objection only led to more shouts from Billy and a threat from the Army. The two ended up yelling at each other at the vehicle door and Billy drove off while a frustrated Amendola sat with the others in the car.
The NFL star has threatened to quit
After manager Billy left, Danny Amendola ripped off his bracelet and threatened to quit. Antonio Scaramuccio shortly afterwards he attempted to resign in solidarity with him, but eventually both men had armbands as the car returned to the barracks site.
In the barracks, all the remaining participants talked about the day and how Danny Amendola was chosen. It didn’t take long for the staff to ask Amendola to come into their meeting room to discuss what happened and try to talk about what had happened. Tensions escalated again between personnel manager Billy and Amendola, and it seemed that a line had been drawn in the sand as to whether Amendola would line up and fail to respond or be sent home.
The episode ended without showing what happened
Special forces: the toughest test in the world It ended without showing what happened to Danny Amendola, and I confess that I don’t know how it will end. While I’d like to believe that Amendola’s big moment was deliberately cut out for maximum tension that will ultimately see him return at the start of the next episode, this series has been great.
Anyone with a Hulu subscriber can rewind to last week’s episode when the actress beverley mitchell quit in the middle of the second challenge of the episode. This series hasn’t really had a format for when a contestant can drop out completely, so I absolutely believe Danny Amendola could be kicked out early in the next episode. It’s certainly disappointing to see that happen given the portrayal of him on the show thus far, but how Nastya Lyukin confirmed after his release, it takes more than athletic performance to be successful in the Special Forces.
Special forces: the toughest test in the world airs on Fox Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET. There’s still plenty of time to catch up and have fun week after week, and past attendees like it anyway. Doctor Drew are already set to return for another season, there seems to be a chance for season 2.
