Indeed, the cast of forced marriage seems to have great chemistry . And given the (wet) proximity of the star-studded cast, having good people was undoubtedly the key to his success. So even though they spent a lot of time soaking in a pool, it looks like the set was having a blast. Plus, everyone has their time to shine throughout the film.
Actor Steve Coulter plays Jennifer Coolidge’s husband Larry forced marriage, and I had the privilege of speaking with him twice about his experience working on the madcap rom-com. He entered the reality of spending so much time in that same pool, saying:
You are in the Caribbean, it was an infinity pool so you are looking at the ocean. But the pool itself, they stopped filtering it and there are two dozen people there for two weeks. Sunscreen and souvenirs floating on the surface. So it got a bit risky there.
While being trapped in a resort pool sounds like a dream to many, the reality of filming so many forced marriage there is something completely different. Especially since it didn’t leak and the cast was all hair and makeup and sunscreen. But it makes a lot of sense, because the filter would definitely ruin the sound of the film.

It’s been days and weeks straight. We were very aware of the privilege of being where we were, and that it was this beautiful place and all of these things. But we were soaked.
