After emotional reactions, America’s Got Talent’s Chapel Hart opens up about the “good, bad and ugly” of her final performance.

America has talent was in the eleven finals of season 17 when country music group Chapel Hart took the stage. The trio did so well in their audition that the judges and host Terry Crews teamed up to give them an extra golden bell, despite each other. ring that golden bell once already . Contrary to what Fellow country artist Drake Milligan decided to do it , they released another original song for the finale on September 13th and were very excited from the start. After their performance, they talked about their emotions and the good, the bad and the ugly.

After auditioning with “You Can Have Him Jolene” and returned with “The Girls Are Back In Town” for qualifiers (it was a badder song than the first ), opted for the patriotic and uplifting “American pride” for the show that could earn them a million dollars and a play in Las Vegas. Eventually everyone cried, but clearly not from sadness or frustration. When they spoke to Gossipify and other media after their performance, I noticed that their emotions made many of those watching (myself included) a little emotional, with Danica Hart replying:

This is what we need: a Facebook group for all the people who have cried with Chapel Hart and spent time together.

Trea Swindle agreed, saying “it always makes me so much better to know we’re not crying alone.” None of the judges wept, but they were certainly excited. Sofia Vergara praised them for their “heartfelt” performance and Simon Cowell particularly noted that the chorus was beautiful. He said some of the rumors were “muffled by the nerves”, but he was glad they did what they did. Howie Mandel also noted that his emotions affected his voice, but he still received compliments for the band.

From the audience’s reactions in the live theater, their emotions didn’t detract from the performance at all, and I’d say it made them feel more authentic. When I asked them to share what was going through their mind when they got such a strong reaction from the audience, Devynn Hart shared:

I think from the beginning of the song, we almost cried before the song started. And I think, like Danica said, it’s just a combination of things. You know, the energy in the room was incredible even before we started. The song itself, this song means a lot to us. Thinking about our AGT journey as a whole, the highs [and] the bass, the good, the bad, the ugly, everything. I think about all of this, not just AGT races, our races in general. All of these things hit us at once.

With all of this on their minds, it’s no wonder they cried during the show and right after! They have a lot to be proud of when they look at them America has talent travel and their careers in general up to this point, and the future certainly looks bright for them. Whether or not they win that million dollar and show in Las Vegas in the Sept. 14 earnings episode, they hit the country music scene in a big way on the huge AG Platform.

Danica Hart agreed with her sister that many emotions “come together in that moment” when, as Devynn described it, “cried like babies”. Danica explained:

I don’t know if we’ll ever be able to truly describe how powerful it was to stand in front of 4,000 people and risk it all. A lot of tears and a lot of tremors in the voice, but I don’t know if we would change it or if we had the opportunity to do another song, I don’t think we would.

Their AG The performance had more thrills than the previously released studio version, but that’s not a bad thing when it comes to live performances. The artists’ individual stories and quirks are part of what can make or break AG winners and Chapel Hart was a big hit with voters headed to the final. If you missed “American Pride”, check it out:
