For the uninitiated, we are currently in half renaissance aka Brendan Fraser’s successful return to Hollywood. This is largely due to his acclaimed and Oscar-nominated performance in The whale, but also has a few other projects in the works. Chief among them was like the evil firefly in the bad girl movie, but this film was thrown away by Warner Bros. even though it has already been filmed. And actress Leslie Grace recently recalled hitting Fraser while filming the project… as well as cuddling between takes. Talk about balance.
in the heights Actress Leslie Grace landed her life’s work playing the title character bad girl. Although it was canceled when it was almost done, it worked with legendary actors like JK Simmons, Michael Keaton and (of course) Brendan Fraser. He recently spoke with The variety on the DC film demolished and some memories of working with the Mummy actor. As she said
In terms of the shooting experience, we were all really excited for people to see a lot of action, a lot of hands-on shooting that we did with fire. Our film was full of practical shooting, which was really hard to shoot. Brandan [Fraser], our villain, our Firefly, was so awesome… I felt so lucky to have him as my sparring partner. We’ve had so many great action scenes together where we’ve argued, but we’ve hugged between takes because he’s so nice.
How sweet it is? Although it is not clear whether the general public will ever see the images of the bad girl movie, the memories of the cast and crew who worked on the superhero film are going nowhere. And Leslie Grace seems to be enjoying the time she spent filming the movie’s fight scenes with Brendan Fraser. Is anyone else’s FOMO through the roof right now?
Leslie Grace’s latest comments on bad girl fans are calling on Warner Bros. to reverse its decision and exit The DC blockbuster from Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah . In addition to those who want to see Barbara Gordon and Firefly face off on HBO Max, the inclusion of Michael Keaton as Batman presumably links it to that of Andy Muschietti Fast film, which will see him and Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight.
Of course, bad girl Fans waiting to see the film release may not want to hold their collective breath. Warner Bros. reportedly got a huge cancellation for scrapping the project, as the studio focused entirely on theatrical releases instead of streaming movies. However, it seems like a waste that the project was abandoned so close to completion. This is especially true considering months of hard work by the cast and crew.
Dramatic changes are currently taking place in the DC Cinematic Universe, thanks to the new direction from James Gunn and Peter Safran . Like him bad girl film scrapped, decisions like scrapping Henry Cavill as Superman caused a backlash . Either way, it’s clear that a very specific vision is being crafted for the DC Universe for the next ten years. And that includes television and video games.
The next DCEU installment to hit theaters is Shazam! fury of the gods on March 17. In the meantime, check out the Movie release dates 2023 to plan your next movie experience.
