Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ Mother Shares Her Feelings After Seeing A Gap Commercial He Filmed Before His Death

After the tragedy Chief Stephen ‘tWitch’ dies Many have shared their love for the dancer and are working to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. This includes the Gap clothing brand. He featured a collaboration with The Brooklyn Circus and the late dancer and DJ is part of the ad campaign. With the collection now out, videos of tWtich smiling and dancing are making the rounds on the internet, this campaign is “in his loving memory”. After the ad aired, the dancer’s mother shared her thoughts on the ad she was working on before her death.

While I think seeing this announcement was an emotional and sad moment for tWitch mom Connie Boss Alexander, as well as other family members and friends, it’s also clear that she loves the tribute. She reposted her son’s video of her dancing for the campaign, using hashtags and hearts to show her love for him and her talent. However, it was also a heartbreaking message when she wrote that she almost called him to explain how proud she was, she looks its publication soon after his death missing him and wishing he could FaceTime his son in heaven. You can see the emotional message here:

They So you think you can dance alum can be seen throughout the campaign, from a banner photo of him striding to a video of him dancing, it’s clear they’re working to honor the late dancer. The video is dedicated to him and notes that in honor of tWtich, Gap supports 988 Lifeline by donating to Vibrant Emotional Health. You can watch the video of him interrupting a move for I split in his announcement dedicated to him here:

Allison Holker Boss, released a statement about the ad campaign and her late husband, saying it will “pay homage to Stephen’s life” and pay “homage to the joy and light he brought to everyone around him.” You also said in the statement (via CMG extension ):

When Stephen and I first saw his campaign images, tears came to our eyes. He was so touched by the way they captured the very essence of him, and he was thrilled for the world to see.

So while it’s probably hard for those close to tWitch to see him in these videos, I guess it’s also heartwarming to see him smile and dance again. Looking at the commercial, it seems that Gap and The Brooklyn Circus have captured the essence of him, he seems to be having a lot of fun and it shows how he’s doing. “pure light” as Ellen DeGeneres once described it him in his moving tribute to his friend and colleague.

After tWitch’s funeral, Holker posted a sentimental tribute to her late husband, saying “we will continue to shine your light and love throughout the world.” Her mother also posted about the death of her son, saying the the family is “completely devastated” but also noted that the dancer “brings light into everyone’s life.”

Many have posted how much they miss tWitch, including Jodie Sweetin and many others dance with the stars vets . Many also spoke of the importance of mental health awareness, including TAKE A STEP Pros Sharna Burgess and Brian Austin Green. This Gap campaign also shows love for tWtich and raises awareness for the 988 lifeline and mental health related resources.

While it’s probably hard to see him dance again after his death, TWitch’s mom seems to be extremely proud of her son’s involvement in this campaign, noting the dancer’s smile, dance moves, and joy.
