Georgio explores his “wild years” on his new album

The rapper from the 18th arrondissement of Paris presents his fifth album this Friday, in which he introspects his career.

A year and a half after his previous work SacredRapper Georgio returns this Friday with a new album wild years. On this 15-track album, recorded between Paris, Lille and Los Angeles, the Parisian artist, who has just turned 30, melancholy reflects on the different stages of his life.

To recount his current career, his adolescence in Angers but also his future, Georgio surrounded himself with PLK rappers in the title. when everything lights up and Josman (Cold) and the Swiss artist Yoa (Diamond V2).

“I lived a very, very strong year where many things happened that inspired me a lot… I realized how crazy, wild our years were, full of freedom despite the current world,” Georgio explains on Instagram.

And to add: “We transform a lot of negative energy into positive and I put music to everything.”

“Breaking the codes”

To promote this new album, Georgio and his artistic director imagined a rather original collector’s version of the project: each fan receives the disc enclosed in a concrete block that must be broken with a hammer.

“I wanted to illustrate the fact that we can cross the walls, even if we try to block ourselves, that we can break the codes…”, Georgio explains in the newspaper columns. the telegram.
