It has now been more than 24 hours for the public to pass through Westminster Hall and the guards take turns guarding the Queen’s coffin. This Thursday afternoon, at the time of the changing of the guard, there were two ministers of the current British Government who took their place, in uniform, on the dais to watch the coffin of Elizabeth II for about twenty minutes, according to skynews.
Defense Secretary Ben Wallace and Secretary of State for Scotland Alister Jack stood at the end of the coffin as members of the Royal Company of Archers, the monarch’s guard in Scotland, the BBC said.
Britons have until Monday morning to pay their respects to the Queen at Westminster Hall. At 8:00 p.m., the queue to access the coffin extended for more than 7.5 kilometers, according to the UK Digital Department.
