Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts shares a heartwarming look at the life-changing ten years since a blood marrow transplant

It’s been a decade since then Robin Roberts received a bone marrow transplant of his sister who saved his life, and hello America help her celebrate the occasion in a meaningful way that is worthy of such a milestone. The week-long “One Match, Second Chance” event kicks off on Monday, Feb. 13, and ahead of the 10th anniversary of the longtime ABC host’s return to work, Roberts shared a heartwarming look at the journey you’ve been on and the lives that have been saved.

She overcame it, but treatment apparently led to a diagnosis of MDS, myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder that affects bone marrow, five years later. Whether it’s an illness, the end of a relationship, financial difficulties, the important thing is not to dwell on something, but to discover the lessons that can be learned and share them with others. My mother used to say that we all have gifts, she finds yours and shares them with the world.
