Spoilers ahead for the HBO Max special Harley Quinn: A Very Troubled Valentine’s Day Specialso take note if you haven’t seen the NSFW mayhem yet.
To no one’s surprise exactly, harley quinn made one of the most memorable Christmas TV specials possible with his Very troubled Valentine’s Day specialwhich welcomed new guest stars, such as ted lassois Brett Goldstein, as he features a variety of his funniest characters, like Clayface. And what do you know? British sex symbol without CGI and the shape-shifting Batman villain gathered, not how this is… well, maybe like it this is – for stellar success at Marvel VandaVision which faked the superhero franchise’s most memorable line.
For those who haven’t seen the Avengers love story unfold in an emotionally overwhelming way VandaVision (available to stream with a Disney+ subscription ), one of their conversations revolved around a perhaps poignant line that Vision shares with Wanda:
- “What is pain but lasting love?”
If this moment wasn’t so beautiful inside VandaVision himself, harley quinnThe particular twist on this one probably wouldn’t be that fun. But it’s truly magical, given the particularly annoying context.
To put it in the most basic terms: Harley Quinn used magic to give Poison Ivy the best orgasm ever, spreading her highly influential pheromones throughout Gotham City, turning everyone into total sexpots. Exactly what is expected one of our favorite queer comic couples . This coincided with Bane becoming a giant to enlarge a certain part of himself, prompting him to destroy the city by turning most of it to rubble.
Meanwhile, Clayface fell in love with his own butt, but with the proviso that “they” could never touch each other, while the Emmy winner Brett Goldstein he was in town (with his prize in tow) to warm up and tease everyone by performing dramatic readings. Just your typical day for this rogue gallery and visiting TV star.
Either way, the only way for anyone to stop the giant pesky Bane was to completely eradicate his pesky nature. Which gave Clayface the ability to transform into a giant version of Brett Goldstein (with a Bermuda triangle on his hairy chest), at which point he gave the following speech, capped off by the VandaVision jaw:
Young Master Bane, I know my rugged, beardless exterior may belie it, but I know a thing or two about love, and I assure you that love is in the eye of the beholder. And you don’t have to mate with the building until it collapses to let you know you love it. I mean, what is exciting but lasting love?
All of that casting is still exquisite, but special props go to Alan Tudyk and James Adomian for providing some of Clayface and Bane’s funniest moments, respectively. The fact that Bane was ultimately undone by the use of the phrase “ask the question” is incredible and probably wouldn’t happen in any other DC project. (Prove me wrong, whether it’s the TV or movie version of The Flash.)
harley quinn (opens in a new tab) prepare for bring season 4 to the fans despite all the negative hype surrounding HBO Max this past year, not to mention all of the updates from James Gunn and Peter Safron on the future of the DCU. (Don’t forget Gunn guest starred in season three .) Can we expect to see Clayface fall in love with his ass talking live? We will if I can get hold of some of that magic Harley used on Ivy.
