Lawyers for Jeffrey Epstein victims mourn Prince Andrew’s public reappearance

Prince Andrew, accused of sexual assault related to the Epstein case, had largely limited his public appearances for several months.

The public reappearance of Prince Andrew, accused of sexual assault, does not happen with some. The man, who was accused by Virginia Giuffre sexually assaulting her in 2001, when she was 17, had greatly limited her public appearances for several months. This case was linked to that of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who has been accused by many women of organizing sex trafficking. Virginia Guiffre claims that Prince Andrew attended.

After the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth, Andrew reappeared in front of cameras around the world, participating for example in the procession of the queen’s coffin in Edinburgh, then in London. According to the lawyers of the victims of Jeffrey Epstein, the vision of the prince in the media is difficult for women who have denounced the actions of the billionaire.

Mariann Wang, who has represented more than a dozen Epstein survivors, believes it is “beyond embarrassing that Andrew should be accorded any kind of state-sponsored honor or privilege, given his past affiliation with Jeffrey Epstein,” reports . The Guardian.

“The brave women who have come forward to hold Epstein, Maxwell and others to account deserve better,” the lawyer continues.

Andrew attacked in Edinburgh

Spencer T Kuvin, also an attorney for several Esptein victims, told the guardian understand “the level of frustration and feeling” of the person who criticized Prince Andrew during the procession of the Queen’s coffin in Edinburgh. The man shouted “Andrew, you are a sick old man” (“Andrew, you are an old pervert”) and “asco” (“disgusting”) to the attention of the son of Elizabeth II who at that time was walking behind the hearse, this Monday.

“We want to honor the memory of a very respectable monarch who served for 70 years. I understand that this is probably not the right place or time to shout something at a funeral, but at the end of the day, we also want to acknowledge the fact that[Andrew] It must not be allowed to publicly benefit society and these organizations, given its past, and must be held accountable to the public.”

In February, an amicable agreement was reached between Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre, sparing the man from having to stand trial. Due to this case, Prince Andrew was expelled from the royal family in January. He had been stripped of all his military titles, which is why he does not appear in uniform at ceremonies honoring his mother, and no longer represents the royal family at public events. He is no longer called “his royal highness of him” and has withdrawn from social media.
