M. Night Shyamalan’s latest box office horror movie hit, call the booth, contains a simple but terrifying premise: if strangers entered your home and forced you to choose between your loved ones and the rest of the world, what would you do? Sophie’s chilling decision that one of the film’s actors, Harry Potter alum Rupert Grint he says he made the experience of the film one of the worst projects for him because it encompasses two of his greatest fears: the apocalypse and home invasions.
Co-stars Rupert Grint and Ben Aldridge appeared on the British television show, This morning to discuss his latest thriller M. Night. Grint spoke about his time working with The sixth sense director (a meeting for the couple ), but says the film was quite stressful due to her personal fears and, more importantly, her fear of a home invasion. When asked, the actor confirmed to drivers:
Yes, mix my two fears. A little stressful. Mostly, the home invasion type is pretty crude. [Jokes] I’m fine with the apocalypse, it’s easy.
Who can blame the actor? There’s no shortage of movies and TV shows about the apocalypse and home invasion, and I bet it’s mostly because it’s a fear so many of us share.
They moon walkers the star may have been having a stressful time on the set of call the booth due to the nature of the item; however, he only had good things to say about his manager. Grint went so far as to describe Shyamalan as a genius in the realm of psychological thrillers. He continued:
We’re back… we made a TV series for Apple. So I got to know him well. He’s a charming guy in real life. He is very joyful. I think in this genre he is just amazing. He’s so good at finding fear… I know exactly what he wants from him, and that way we’re very in sync. He’s great, I like working with him.
It would seem critics and audiences agree with Grint because call the booth he became Mr. Night fourth consecutive film to reach number one At the box office An impressive result for any director, but perhaps even more so for Shyamalan, who at one point had become something of a Hollywood punching bag after box office bombs like The Ultimate Master of Air AND After Earth. Perceived failures aside, we can’t forget we’re talking about the man who wrote and directed The sixth sense AND panels (who shares a spiritual connection with Hit ).
