A producer of films starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and Sophie Turner, and appearing in films with Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke, among others, has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to prostitute. ring that would have left at least one woman with permanent brain damage.

By then, however, the Daily Mail reports that Jordan had already been running a prostitution ring for three years, offering women to wealthy clients and throwing sex parties across the United States and abroad. Most of the movies Jordan starred in were small projects that weren’t widely marketed. the kindergarten teacher is probably the best known of the PaperChase films. He won the Best Director award at the Sundance Film Festival for Sara Colangelo, where he was also nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. Maggie Gyllenhaal has also been recognized by various critic groups for her lead performance.
The production company apparently grew out of the prostitution ring, as several producers and other investors were clients of the network. One client has reportedly invested up to $250,000 in legitimate film projects in Jordan.
In addition to the movie studio, Jordan also ran a party and event planning company. Prosecutors say she used the two companies as fronts for prostitution, charging between $3,000 and $15,000 per encounter and taking up to 40 percent of that for herself. She would benefit a total of $1.4 million.
Jordan pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy last year. Five years was the maximum sentence allowed by law. The judge handling the case reportedly said that, due to the harm done to the women involved, he would have extended the sentence if allowed to do so. An unidentified woman who testified to her said she nearly died ten years ago when Jordan forced her to take a concoction of drugs at a party. During sentencing, Dillon Jordan apologized to his victims.
At one point, Dillon Jordan’s prostitution ring reportedly numbered as many as 75 women, some of whom worked in the US and some in the UK. Dillon was accused of working with other conspirators to recruit and direct women into prostitution, including arranging robberies for several women to travel from California to New York specifically to commit acts of prostitution.
