On the big screen, Ethan Hawke is capable of anything. Like the incredible actor that he is (see our ranking of his best films ), can take on any character, but in real life, he’s a man with weaknesses, like the best of us. After Rihanna’s iconic performance at Super Bowl LVII the star of the black phone (one of best horror movies years old) took to social media to share a humorous memory from a time when he forced his son to switch places with him so he could talk to the Grammy winner. While many responded to the post, one of the best comments came from Gwyneth Paltrow, who responded with an A+ response.
Monday, the knight of the moon alum published in his instagram a series of flashback images showing him and his son sitting next to Rihanna as they attended the 2015 NBA All-Star Game at Madison Square Garden. Hawke started the game sitting in one spot of the “Umbrella” singer, but as the photos show, at one point during the game, the actor asked his son to switch seats so he could chat with the singer. He accompanied the post with a message, jokingly apologizing to his son for stealing his moment. Legend says. “After Rihanna’s brilliant halftime performance, I hope my son finds the courage in his heart to forgive a father for taking his moment.” You can see the son image of him originally in this place below:
While several commentators thought the incident was funny, the actress and ex Hawke High expectations co-star Gwyneth Paltrow took offense to the actor, but not for the reason you’d think. They Man of Steel The actress disagreed, not because the actor undermined her son’s moment, but because of his position. The actress jokingly wrote:
Could you sit up straight, for God’s sake? You’re sitting next to Rihanna!
Which is priceless. Paltrow is funny, of course, but it was the perfect response to Hawke’s flashback photos. You can’t blame the actor for taking his son’s seat (or collapsing) because if you were separated from Rihanna by just one point and your son took that chair, you would And I think my position would be the last thing that i would mind if i stood so close to the barbadian singer.
green room actor Mark Webber apparently agrees. He pointed out that Hawke was right to shoot. He has written:

Gerald’s game Actress Carla Gugino found the flashback of Hawke and her son’s meeting with Rihanna quite comical. She answered:

The official Old Navy account even got in on the action, making a good joke and referencing Rihanna’s collaboration with DJ Khaled. They wrote:
Alexa, play “Wild Thoughts”
It’s a… wild, wild, wild… joke originating from the American clothing and accessories retailer known for its reasonable prices. Look what I did there?
This comical little transgression against his son doesn’t understand who Ethan Hawke is as a father. In the past, spilled over to his children , especially her daughter Maya and her acting prowess. I think we can give her some slack for wanting to sit next to the pop star.

Rihanna used her Super Bowl performance to announce her pregnancy with a second child with the rapper A$AP Rocky, and we want to wish him and his partner the best as they get ready for another little one.
