A little over a month has passed since then Glow Star Ezra Miller apologized and announced that she is receiving treatment for “complex mental health problems”. Since then, more stories have begun to emerge about the actor’s outstanding legal issues and alleged worrying behavior. The last concerns Miller’s relationships with various people who allegedly lived or continue to live with them in a Vermont complex known as “The Mountain”. The property would contain an altar with balls and Flash figures and those who visit would be subject to “great speeches” in which they would refer to themselves as Jesus or the Devil and establish links between Flash and the Messiah.
The allegations are part of a long profile published by Vanity Fair. The outlet claims to have spoken to more than a dozen people close to the actor, some of whom lived in The Mountain. The show provides updates and background stories on many of Ezra Miller’s recent legal woes, as well as a disturbing picture of his life in the secluded complex of him. The property is said to be equipped with all kinds of weapons and has a prominent altar. The altar would contain “figurines of bullets, grass, sage and flash” and Miller would ask people to leave their cell phones and “other offerings” when they visit him. After being snubbed by Susan Sarandon at a recent dinner, the actor allegedly asked to “pay homage” to the altar.
The piece also claims to have spoken to multiple sources who claim that Miller alternately refers to himself as Jesus or the devil. Presumably they also speak of The Flash as the Jesus of the multiverse and explain how he puts it all together. Religious symbolism and language appear to be part of a pattern that also extends to a “medicine man” the actor allegedly hired as a spiritual advisor. He allegedly told the actor that they were the next Messiah and that the Masons were sending demons to kill them.
It is almost impossible to know exactly what has happened in Ezra Miller’s life in the past few years. The actor has worked regularly in major franchises such as the DCEU and fantastic beasts before Covid, but in recent years, accusations and unusual stories have followed Miller wherever they went. Several incidents have been reported in Iceland involving a woman choking and being thrown from chair to chair. Attacks have been reported in Hawaii, and more recently Miller was charged with vandalism in Vermont. There have also been allegations of missing children on The Mountain and predators of vulnerable people.
Miller’s next film was delayed several times, and for a time there were rumors that the film would be scrapped or major parts of it would be shot again to allow them to leave the franchise. They reportedly met with Warner Bros superiors earlier this year and then an apology and announcement to seek treatment were made. The studio would remain attached to the release. the flash in 2023, but it’s unclear whether any of these more recent stories could alter that plan.
