While Magnum IP was not in long list of programs that have had to suspend production in March 2020 due to the outbreak of the COVID pandemic, I was still greatly affected by the pandemic regarding the uncertainty about the future. The show had a bit of a head start by knowing what the writers had planned for Season 5 before the cancellation announcement, but coming back with fewer writers to execute on those plans was obviously tricky! Now that several Season 5 episodes have aired (and can be aired again with a Peacock Premium Membership ), I think it’s safe to say that the show is back to delivering the kind of stories that fans were so excited about in the beginning.
