A photo in the form of a final farewell. The royal family published this Monday night, after the official funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, one last image of the sovereign to pay her one last tribute.
This image was published on the official Twitter account of the Royal Family. We see the monarch on the Scottish moors of Balmoral, with a cane and a headscarf.
“In loving memory of Her Majesty the Queen”
A caption accompanies the photo, a phrase taken from Shakespeare’s play. Village in scene 2 of act V: “May the flights of angels sing to you to your rest”, which can be translated as “may the angels sing to you to your rest”.
The royal family adds: “In loving memory of Her Majesty The Queen. 1926-2022.” On Monday, hundreds of thousands of Britons attended the sovereign’s funeral in London, the last stage of a national mourning that lasted 12 days.
