First, the 1998 remake of The parent Trap, directed by Lindsay Lohan and directed by Nancy Meyers, is a success (although not everything makes sense), and this film still holds up very well. Sure, it features plenty of scenes where Lohan plays opposite herself, though I imagine her cinematic experience was less awkward. Secondly, I love this skit because it was obviously written by people who love The parent Trap. Little details like his shirt are a nice touch, and it’s there just enough updates which looks like it could be another remake aimed at modern audiences. Thanks also to Fred Armisen for hilariously saying that the remake must air if the parents are played by Ed Helms and Leslie Mann. I love you both, but it feels right.

After the Jenna Ortega episode, Saturday night live It will be on hiatus for a few weeks. The popular sketch comedy will return April 1 with Quinta Brunson’s Abbott Elementary School as host and Lil Yachty as musical guest. This will be Brunson’s first time presenting the monologue on Studio 8H and fans are already excited. Beyond that, we should see plenty more new episodes ahead of the season finale, though SNL’s next hosts are yet to be announced.
