Death of Elizabeth II: David, Victoria and Brooklyn Beckham pay tribute to the queen

On the occasion of the Queen’s funeral, the family of English stars published a shower of tributes on social networks.

The death of Elizabeth II and the shock it caused within the royal family moved another well-known English family. David Beckham, Victoria Beckham and the eldest of her four children paid tribute to the Queen on Instagram on Monday at her funeral. The 47-year-old former footballer praised the memory of “a unique, loving and inspiring head of state”:

“Thousands of people from all walks of life have come together to show their gratitude to our beloved Queen,” he said, captioning a photo of the coffin being carried to Westminster Abbey. “In addition to the incredible ceremony and respect for tradition, we saw a family mourn a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with dignity and devotion.”

Et de conclure par un mot pour Charles, le fils de la reine, devenu roi Charles III à 73 ans avec la mort de sa mère: “L’héritage (de la reine), son service et son dévouement au devoir lui survivra.. . Long live the king…”.

“A powerful source of inspiration”

The death of the queen, which occurred on September 8 at the age of 96, plunged the United Kingdom into a period of national mourning that only ended with her funeral. A moment that Victoria Beckham took advantage of to “reflect on the loss of the Majesty of her the Queen of her”, as she writes on Instagram:

“She was a powerful inspiration,” says the former Spice Girls member turned fashion designer.

“Not just for me, but for so many people around the world. The ultimate icon, in every way possible, and the epitome of elegance, will live on in our hearts and minds forever. I express my deepest condolences and condolences to the Royal Family at this time, and we join them in this time of mourning our beloved Sovereign.”

Same emotion for Brooklyn, his eldest son of 23 years – who became Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham when he married American actress Nicola Peltz last April: “There are no words to express my sadness at the death of our highly esteemed monarch, Her Majesty the Queen,” writes Romeo, Cruz and Harper’s older brother.

“Collectively, as a nation, we can only hope to show the world what she has shown us with her leadership and her grace. It is our duty as the people of Great Britain to carry on her legacy in all of us, in all of our actions.” and in the way we live our lives.

More than 12 hours of waiting for David Beckham

David Beckham had already expressed his emotion last week, when he joined the thousands of people who queued for miles to pray before the queen’s coffin in Westminster Hall. After waiting more than 12 hours, they appeared in front of the coffin, red-eyed and briefly confiding in reporters as they left:

“It’s really very difficult to describe this moment,” he said. “She will continue with the Royal Family, but I think Her Majesty was a special person, and she will be missed here in the UK and also around the world.”
