Sebastian Stan is officially returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for another big screen production. It was confirmed on D23 that your soldier will appear in the winter Ray as a member of the starting team. The film will mark a new chapter for Bucky Barnes, which apparently does not include Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson, aka Captain America. Considering Stan and Mackie have been on screen together for so long, it’s hard to imagine one without the other in an MCU project. But in dealing with the prospect, Stan shared a fun version of not having to work with his longtime co-star in the team’s film.
After appearing alongside his co-stars in D23, Sebastian Stan spoke to the media about it Ray, without revealing spoilers, of course. Was THR who asked what it was like to enter a Marvel movie without his wingman, Anthony Mackie. Stan then joked about the “freedom” he now has:
