Rosario Dawson is, at this point, probably best known for her growing role in the Star Wars universe. she speculated the coveted role of Ahsoka Tano In the Mandalorianand later in an episode of Boba Fett’s book. All this before the release of a full season of AhsokaHow is it going this is Grand Admiral Thrawn while you carry star wars rebels characters to life in live action. But for many of us, Dawson is a key member of Kevin Smith’s View Askew universe, and he’s had tremendous performances in Kevin Smith’s recent films, including employees 3what the director can barely do.
Rosario Dawson appeared on employees 2 as Becky, a Mooby manager who ends up falling in love with Dante (Brian O’Halloran). She really is one of the best parts about dawson and she brought an emotional weight to that relationship in a surprising way employees 3. As many know, Kevin Smith was inspired to write employees 3 After victim of a devastating heart attack . And when Dawson spoke to us as part of Star Wars Celebration, we mentioned her great work on film, which led her to say:
It’s shocking to think we might not have had it. That heart attack he had, they call him the widowmaker for a reason. And I think he had an older version of the script (Clerks 3) that got discontinued, and he did that. And I can’t even figure out what it was, because this was so special. When you see all three of them lined up together, to see how he’s grown as a director and what we’ve made of that, as heartbreaking as that is, it’s really cool. I am grateful to be a part of it and very proud of the guys. This is one of my favorite universes!
Considering what Rosario Dawson said while promoting her lead role in the Star Wars universe, that’s really saying something. But it’s understandable. Kevin Smith writes heartfelt dialogue (as well as his dick jokes), and when the material ends up in the hands of someone as talented as Dawson, you can get a great and memorable scene like east of employees 3 .
employees 3 It worked as a kind of greeting for Kevin Smith in this part of his universe, and it was nice and fitting that Rosario Dawson was a part of it. Perhaps she will continue to appear in roles should Smith ever get it its sequel to Mallrats takes off or choose another project.
Meanwhile, we see Dawson continue the tradition of playing Ahsoka Tano in a new Disney+ series that just might make you want to. watch star wars rebels again . Or I could make you hope that Kathy Kennedy inserts Ahsoka one of three films which the studio has announced will happen… in the future.
