It’s rare to see certified best friends together in Hollywood, but this is truly the story of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. They Hunting for goodwill directors and stars they met as children while living in the same neighborhood in Cambridge, Massachusetts while also pursuing careers in the film industry. So, in true best friend fashion, as Affleck reflected on his early years with Damon, he called him out for being a messy roommate.
While Ben Affleck and Matt Damon promote their latest film together, AirWho the origin story of air jordan the couple remember their 40-year friendship . When asked what it was like to be Damon’s roommate and have a joint checking account at the time, Affleck said this in The Late Late Show with James Corden:
Matt has never paid a bill to date. … Matt is a nice guy, I love him. He is my best friend. He’s been great to me my whole life. He is a brilliant boy. I wouldn’t suggest living with him, because he has an ability… Do you know people who block things? I think that’s why he’s a great actor, because he can concentrate, you know what I mean? One of the things he blocks is that when you’re done with something, you have to wash it or throw it away.
Wow…she screamed! Ben Affleck later joked about his time with Matt Damon and his brother Casey Affleck, and it turns out that his best friend isn’t the best at keeping things fresh in the house. As he continued:
So finally my brother and I, after years of cleaning up the guy, were like, ‘You know what? We’ll go on a table strike. We’ll wait and see how long it takes for him to stand up and say, “God, I’m covered in bullshit!” Weeks, two weeks went by without touching the apartment. I came home one day, me and [Casey] – Matt is there in shorts and a T-shirt. It was the 1992 SEGA hockey game in the middle of what used to be the living room, surrounded by concentric circles of bric-a-brac: pizza boxes. I look at sushi that is a week and a half old and there are worms. We said to each other: ‘We submit, you are too good! We can’t beat you! …God bless your wife, Lucy. There is a place for you in heaven.
Apparently, Matt Damon has both the gift and the curse of focusing on whatever’s on his mind, which Affleck attributed to his acting skills. However, when it comes to being tired of cleaning up the mess, the guy just wasn’t sympathetic to it. Affleck recalled the time he and his brother decided not to clean up after him for a few weeks to see if she would ever change his ways, but his house ended up wormy when they got back! Oh!! Affleck explained Matt Damon’s filth during the interview, watch it:
Here’s hoping Matt Damon has gotten better in the roommate department now that he’s a married man with four kids! He must have it, right?
