“Wednesday”: premiere date of the Netflix series adapted from “The Addams Family”

The taciturn teenager with the famous black braids will have the right to her own series signed by Tim Burton. Only a few more weeks before discovering the program.

Those who expected the series Wednesday would arrive in time for Halloween will have to wait a little longer than expected. Netflix announces that this program taken from the universe of the addams family and directed by Tim Burton will be available on November 23.

As its title suggests, this eight-part series will follow the eldest daughter of the Addams couple, Wednesday, as she enters the strange Nevermore Academy after being kicked out of all the regular high schools. The disturbing teenager will meet young comrades as bizarre as her, and will try to solve the mystery of a series of murders that terrorize the city.

A new face and a return.

It is the young Jenna Ortega (seen in the series You and the last installment of the saga Scream) who will lend his features to Wednesday Addams. Christina Ricci, who played the character twice on film in the early 1990s, will also have a role that is being kept under wraps. The replica will be given by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán, who will play parents Addams, Morticia and Gómez.

This will be Tim Burton’s first series. The filmmaker collaborated with screenwriters Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, already at the helm of Smallvilleseries in Superman aired in the early 2000s. The director ofEdward Scissorhands directed all eight episodes of Wednesday.
