Initially scheduled for the start of the school year, the vaccination campaign against the papilloma virus will finally begin on October 2, according to the Minister of Health, Aurélien Rousseau.

One month after the start of the school year. The Minister of Health and Prevention, Aurélien Rousseau, announced this Friday that the vaccination campaign against the papilloma virus, promised at the beginning of the year by Emmanuel Macron, will begin on Monday, October 2 in universities.

“It is a vaccine that makes it possible to eradicate cancers of the cervix but also of the vagina, vulva and anus”, mentioned the minister together with our Brut colleagues, “there are countries that have managed to eradicate these diseases. It’s in your hands.”

Starting Monday, September 4, a communication campaign will be launched. In France, the papillomavirus vaccine, which requires two injections, has been recommended for girls since 2007, and only since January 1, 2021 for boys.
