Next edition in December
“Each Telethon is a unique and powerful moment because it is the engine of a search for excellence driven by patients and patients’ parents, and which today saves lives,” stressed Laurence Tiennot-Herment, president of the AFM-Téléthon association. . in a press release.
Telethon funds are especially allocated to rare diseases, 95% of which remain untreated or even diagnosed.
Beyond the research questions, the Telethon remains a unique event: during its last edition it mobilized more than 200,000 volunteers and was available in more than 10,000 municipalities.
Exceptionally due to the numerous events organized on the occasion of the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris, scheduled for December 7 and 8, Telethon 2024 will take place on November 29 and 30.
