The list of reproaches against Didier Raoult continues to grow. The Marseille prosecutor’s office opened a judicial investigation following the reports of the Medicines Agency on the IHU, when it was directed by Didier Raoult, in particular for forgery of deed.
In addition, in a damning report published this Monday, the General Inspectorate for Social Affairs (Igas) and its higher education and research counterpart (IGESR) identify a whole series of dysfunctions within this same IHU.
Before the microphone of BFMTV this Tuesday, the microbiologist does not seem worried about possible legal proceedings, however, and assures that he will respond “very willingly to the police.”
“All of that doesn’t make sense, it’s all made up,” he said.
“It’s fantasy”
Didier Raoult denies committing forgery in writing. “When you have made more than 3,500 posts in your life, you really do not need to add cheating posts (…). I have published more than anyone since the beginning of the existence of this nation, I do not see why I would make fakes ”, he abounds him.
The former director of the IHU of Marseille is also criticized for “certain medical and scientific practices (…) that do not respect current regulations and that can generate a risk to the health of patients.” The inspectors point out that patients treated in the ICU for Covid-19 or tuberculosis were administered “molecules outside their marketing authorization.”
“It’s fantasy, the recommendations are the opinion of a group around a table”, defends Didier Raoult before the microphone of BFMTV.
“A Part of Malevolence and Ignorance”
Regarding the management of the Covid-19 crisis, the microbiologist believes that “the entire population of Marseille is aware that we have taken care of it, unlike what happened in Paris.”
“Everything I said and everything I asked to be done (about Covid-19) ended up being done in this country,” adds Didier Raoult.
In this sense, it also ensures that vaccination against Covid-19 has not done its part. “If we look at the Covid figures around the world, we do not see the effect of vaccination in controlling the disease, because scientifically it was a mistake,” Didier Raoult launches this Tuesday. A statement that contradicts several studies on the subject, which have notably proven the efficacy of vaccination against severe forms of the disease.
Finally, regarding the accusations of mismanagement at the IHU -pressure, authoritarianism, authoritarian management-, the microbiologist believes that the report is “a part of malevolence and ignorance”, because there was a “chaotic epidemic situation”.
