MEPs are entering a law to improve breast cancer attention

The deputies adopted a law on Tuesday to improve the attention of women victims of breast cancer.

The deputies unanimously approved this Tuesday, January 28, at night, a law aimed at improving care management related to breast cancer to relieve patients often high.

“This text meets the very specific expectations of 700,000 women living with cancer (sinus) and for them, which are in case of emergency, this law constitutes a real advance,” said his rapporteur, the communist Yannick Monnet.

The latter praised a “transparty mobilization” to adopt a “commitment” text. The text, voted in the same terms as in the Senate at the end of October, can now come into force.

More than 60,000 breast cancers detected in France per year

For each patient, the rest at the expense after breast cancer is estimated at around 1,400 euros, according to the High Public Health Council. “Buy a wig, hats, buy treatments to treat the scalp, buy creams to hydrate the skin after chemotherapy. It is not reimbursed and these are additional costs,” says Annie Brousse on Tuesday, beaten by three breast cancer and president of the Vivre Association as before, in BFMTV.

The bill plans to take care of certain physical reconstructions. “In the bill, it is written that we will recognize an act that is not today for our nurses that is that of Dermopigmentation, that is, the reconstruction of the areola and the nipple with inks,” analyzes Benoît Couturaud, specialist in reconstructive reconstructive and Aesthetic plastic chiurgy.

Associations to support women victims of breast cancer require expanding support for support care. “Support attention is adequate physical activities, which are absolutely fundamental because they have discovered that they avoid recurrences and reduce the side effects of drugs,” according to Brigitte Heuls, president of the European Donna France association.

Breast cancer is the most common and mortal among women in France. More than 60,000 new cases are detected there every year.
