“High vaccination coverage of the population of all ages, including health professionals or those who exert in contact with children, is essential to limit viral circulation and protect the most fragile,” said the General Directorate of Health (DGS) in a message to professionals dated March 7.
Hauts-de-France particularly affected

Strong contagion
Very contagious disease, measles causes fever, respiratory symptoms and eruption. It can also cause serious complications, such as pneumonia, cerebral inflammation and death.
Vaccination remains the best protection: the Ror vaccine, mandatory for children of 12 months and more, gives a 93% life immunity after a dose and 97% after two doses.
Patients should be isolated from the first symptoms and up to 5 days after the start of the eruption. People at risk in a serious way, for at least 6 months, immunocompromised people, pregnant women, should be vaccinated within 72 hours, which can avoid the appearance of the disease or be subject to hospital management.
Any suspicious patient should be isolated and use a surgical mask in the waiting room of the medical office where their management should accelerate.
