Delphine, 55, testifies tears to the corners of the eyes. For eleven years, his daily life has been marked by unbearable pain. The consequence of an operation that was to save it, but which turns out to be a new test.
After the discovery of fibroids in his uterus in 2013, he decided to undergo a hysterectomy. But while he was unconscious, his surgeon decided to practice an “bonus” intervention: the installation of a strip of underwear.
Delphine never consented to place this prosthesis. A sadly famous device to poison the life of dozens of women by causing acute daily pain.
“It really makes me very, very painful rules, that border the contraction,” says Delphine of BFMTV. The impression that the needles permanently pierce it.
Despite the taking of powerful analgesics, nothing seems to pain. Today, Delphine cannot work, do sports or have sex with her husband. “They stole my life as a woman and mom,” he laments.
“The Delphine ‘before’ made her garden, she took care of her children, her mother (…) I was not cut from the grass under my foot, they stole me”, a victim of medical bad practice.
More than 30,000 euros to pay to find your life before
The mother of two children says that she recently discovered that she is not alone in this terrible experience. Like her, other women suffer from this implant “embedded in (their), that doctors cannot eliminate under penalty of causing more damage.
“Our only hope is this surgeon who works in the United States: Dr. Veronikis is the only one in the world, which we know, to completely withdraw these prostheses without causing additional damage,” he explains, citing the hope of being cured like other women.
That is why, on March 23, Delphine will fly to the United States. A ticket “for a launch, find (your) life”. But the cost is heavy: 31,000 euros to pay from your pocket. To finance his “operation of the last chance”, a Leechi kitten was opened.
In the United States, the prostheses raised a vaginal route were classified with “high risk” in 2016 and prohibited in 2019. Judicial procedures were carried out in the Anglo -Saxon world and several laboratories paid strong fines, especially in the United States, to resolve procedures.
In France, the installation of implants for the vaginal prolapse has been suspended since 2019. Those that are raised abdominals and certain sub -European strips are still authorized and its installation is now framed.
