End of life: almost 3 out of 4 doctors say they are favorable to a law on active medical assistance to die

According to an IFOP survey published in the gallery on Sunday, 73% of doctors accept, without having any active role, accompanying a patient who requests to benefit from the help to die.

Support instead of active aid

73% of doctors also accept, without having any active role, to support a patient who requests to benefit from the help to die. Collection methodology

The survey was conducted with a sample of 400 doctors, representative of general doctors and specialists who work in the hospital and in the city. The representativeness of the sample was guaranteed by the quota method (sex, age, medical profession and exercise framework). The interviews were conducted by the Self -administered online questionnaire from April 7 to 16, 2025.
