An poisoning wave that continues in Aisne. Two new cases of poisoning in the E.Coli bacteria were observed, of which a girl was in mid -June, reports the prefecture this Saturday, July 5. These are two children of the same family and one of them is hospitalized, according to the press release.
“According to the first investigations, it would be pollution within the same family related to the consumption of meat in one of the five butchers that have been closed,” said the prefecture.
Until now, 30 cases of food poisoning have been identified, including a 73 -year -old person and 29 children. A child, Elise, died on June 16 at age 11.
The analyzes carried out confirmed on Wednesday the link between poisoning and several of the alleged carniceras. The first results of the genomic sequencing of the bacteria “provide an irrefutable correspondence test between the bacteria that are within several of the butchers or the meat they have marketed and the bacteria found in several patients,” the prefecture said in a press release.
“The diagnosis can take place several days after the appearance of symptoms”
These affected butchers were closed administratively between June 19 and 22. “You can register new cases, even from the distance of the closure of butchers,” Aisne’s prefecture said after the discovery of these new cases. First, because “the diagnosis can take place several days after the appearance of symptoms”, but also because fear of fear occurs among people.
“This type of pollution, known as ‘secondary’, is explained by the transmission of the hand of the bacteria present in the feces of the sick people. This is the reason why it occurs most frequently within the same home and in the presence of young children for whom it is more difficult to strictly apply the hygiene rules,” says the prefecture.
State services remember the importance of hygiene rules within homes, particularly the attention that must be paid to hand washing “before the preparation of meals or after a passage to the bathroom.”
The Prefecture requires that the launch of products bought since June 1 in one of the five interested butchers, listed in the press release, and that they would have frozen. Or to clean the refrigerators where these products were stored.
“If you or your children have consumed food from these establishments, observe your health status,” is written. “Do 15 without delay in the case of Glairo wandering diarrhea.”
The analyzes will continue for all the butchers always closed and the identified cases. The results were communicated to the Paris Prosecutor’s Office in charge of the judicial investigation that will identify the responsibilities.
