There is no proven link with Paracetamol and autism, and vaccines do not cause this disorder, contrary to what the Trump administration suggests, said the World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday, September 23.
“Certain observation studies have suggested a possible association between prenatal exposure to paracetamol and autism, but evidence remains incoherent,” said spokesman Tarik Jasarevic to journalists, stressing that “vaccines do not cause autism.”
Donald Trump’s dangerous game
Known for his shock statements in the field of health, Donald Trump questioned the benefits of paracetamol and hepatitis B vaccine, at a conference dedicated to autism, one of his main concerns.
With the health of millions of people at stake, he urged pregnant women on Monday not to take a paracetamol. “According to a rumor, and I don’t know if so, they have no paracetamol in Cuba because they have nothing to pay the paracetamol. Well, they hardly have autism,” said Donald Trumples of a press conference at the White House.
