Chega suggested to the Minister of Education to meet parliamentary groups and create a platform that brings together the government, parties and trade unions to review budget implementation in this area.
The party announced in a statement this Monday that it had written a letter to Minister João Costa that it has not released, proposing “a meeting between the Ministry of Education and all parliamentary groups, with the aim of clarifying national exams and the start of the next school year”.
According to the same note, Chega also proposed “the establishment of a permanent platform between the Ministry of Education, trade unions of education professionals and parliamentary political parties, which will take place every 15 days”.
The goal is to evaluate the “School environment, in all its facets”and the “budget implementation in the field of education”but also as one “building bridges with the Ministry of Finance and the Council of Public Finance over the demands of various education professionals with budgetary implications”.
“It is essential that the government presents resolutions in this area and can make concessions that demonstrate a spirit of commitment that can save the current national exam season and the start of the next school year”defended Chega.
