“Continue investing in skills and transforming the economy”. These are the promises made by Prime Minister António Costa after the informal Council of Ministers held in Sintra on Saturday afternoon.
In three messages published on Twitter, with several photos, the head of government states that “there is a structural change underway in our economy that, with the stability of the policy, we will be able to sustain”.
There was no press briefing after the ministerial meeting – as had happened in similar situations before – with António Costa opting to use his official account on that social network to report on what was being discussed in Monserrate.
“We discussed the answers we try to give to the daily concerns of the Portuguese, such as the impact of inflation, the improvement of incomes or the strengthening of the SNS,” reads one of the publications.
This informal cabinet meeting, scheduled for this week, served to take stock of the year ahead of the holiday season.
“We are focused on governing for the people,” the head of government promised.
We must continue to invest in #qualifications and to transform to #economy.

At the entrance to the meeting, Costa declined to comment on the most recent matters affecting his executive, namely the resignation, after becoming arguido, of Defense Secretary Marco Capitão Ferreira, stating that “what worries people, different themes”. “:
