Nicolas Sarkozy has no intention of voting in the Republican congress to elect the next president of the party. This was stated this Sunday to BFMTV by the relatives of the former President of the Republic, confirming information from the Sunday newspaper.
According to one of his relatives, Nicolas Sarkozy is “petrified to see what is happening in his in-laws.”
Last April, already, he had chosen not to support the party’s candidate for the presidential elections, Valérie Pécresse. A decision that remained in the throat of some members.
“He Steps Back”
“Every time he is taking one more step back,” said a tenor of the party a few weeks ago. And among the four candidates still in the race -Virginie Calmels announces in the columns of JDD this Sunday that he resigns to run for the presidency, Bruno Retailleau is surely the one who wins the least favors from Nicolas Sarkozy.
The proximity between the senator from Vendée and Philippe de Villiers would not be there in vain. “It would be a funny political message… Sarkozy doesn’t want that at all, he thinks the right is something else…” a relative recently commented.
To which Bruno Retailleau responds by dividing a tweet that repeats a Le Monde article dated 2007 and entitled “For Nicolas Sarkozy, ‘2007 will result in a desire for rupture”… “2022 too”, addresses the senator.
