“Lower, turn off, change”: the government advertising spot to encourage eco-gestures

BFMTV presents this Thursday the advertising spot that the government will broadcast to make the French aware of eco-gestures.

“Low, turn off, change”. To fight against the energy crisis, and as part of its sobriety plan that will be announced this Thursday afternoon, the Government will launch a wide-ranging communication campaign starting on October 17.

In the advertising spot that the Government will broadcast, the images recall ecogestures such as lowering the heating or turning off the tap. And a clear message: this winter you will have to turn off your appliances or reduce your consumption.

Lower temperatures and turn off appliances

“To save energy, we act, we reduce. Every gesture counts. Low, turn off, change”, is explained then.

This Thursday, Elisabeth Borne will detail the measures of the sobriety plan to save energy. For households, there will be many incentives: turning off appliances that are not in use or on standby, changing the use of certain appliances, installing timer-thermostats, lowering the temperature of the water heater to 55°C and heating to 19°C. … For example, lowering the heating by one degree allows energy savings of 7%.
