Emmanuel Macron wants all sixth graders in France to plant a tree

The Head of State asks that each student, upon reaching the sixth grade, plant their tree as part of their goal of reforesting the country in ten years.

“You have to reforest.” Emmanuel Macron wants French university and high school students to be “actors of ecology” and that “we have this generation where every university student plants his own tree.”

“I want that, from the sixth of this year, we begin to have students plant trees,” said the President of the Republic before the cameraman Hugo Décrypte.

Believing that “we will not be able to do it, I think, for all sixths” of this year, Emmanuel Macron nevertheless hopes that eventually “every generation that plants its tree will help us go through a billion reforestations”. , in reference to the goal of one billion trees planted in ten years.
