To reduce costs, the Liberals are proposing the total elimination of IMT (municipal property transfer tax) on the purchase of permanent owner-occupied homes, exemption from stamp duty on real estate transactions, and allowing municipalities to completely abolish the tax. purchase. IMI and also an increase in the IRS deduction on interest on home loans and house rents.
As part of the increase in supply, IL wants a reduction in construction VAT with a minimum rate of 6%, an incentive scheme for new construction for rent, the merging of scattered legislation into a new construction law and the use of vacant property by the stands for housing solutions.
Reducing income tax, abolishing forced rental and eliminating the rent freeze are the measures Rui Rocha presents to regain confidence in the sector.
According to the IL president, all these measures will be formalized in parliament “next time”, but at “different times”.
