The Communist Party announced on Thursday that it will participate on October 16 in the march against the high cost of living organized by LFI, PS, EELV and other organizations, as part of a “month-long mobilization of political actions in all parts of France for salaries, employment and pensions.
In a statement, the PCF “calls on all leftist forces to respect and support the inter-union calendar and join any date of national mobilization that it decides.”
“With this in mind, the communists are deciding on a month of political action throughout France for wages, employment and pensions. We will take public initiatives to debate our proposals on these issues. We will participate in the various mobilizations already announced by the political forces. , unions or associations”, continues the PCF.
So far, the communists have left room for doubt.
“In this sense, we communists will participate in the October 16 march against the high cost of living and climate inaction. We also call to participate in the week of action on October 17 organized by the CGT, in particular in the October 18 mobilizations by railway workers and vocational training teachers,” the communists announce.
The PCF was not among the authors of the call for this “march against the high cost of living and climate inaction” on October 16, initiated by LFI, PS, EELV and other political and associative organizations.
The national secretary of the PCF, Fabien Roussel, recently proposed “to all the forces of the left to work on a counter project for pension reform” and the communist deputies “are working on the presentation of a referendum motion” on the subject, recalls the Press release. .
