Chega will generally vote against next year’s state budget proposal, the party chairman announced on Thursday, justifying that it is “extremely unfair” and “the worst” of António Costa’s governments.
“The Chega parliamentary group will vote against the state budget” during the general vote scheduled for October 31, André Ventura announced in statements to journalists at the Assembly of the Republic.
The Chega leader believed that next year’s budget is “extremely unfair”, especially in terms of taxes, and António Costa’s “worst budget since he came into government”.
André Ventura pointed out several criticisms of the document, arguing that it is also “incapable of correcting the structural problem of the economy”, as well as being “unambitious, without vision and uncompetitive”.
