The leader will not go to campaign. Pierre Gagnaire, famous French chef, will finally not appear on the list of the “Rural Alliance” presented by Willy Schraen, president of the National Federation of Hunters, for the 2024 European elections.
Thierry Coste, hunting lobbyist, told BFMTV.com this Monday, December 4, that the star chef “showed himself with complete friendship in support of the rural cause by sharing a meal with members of the Rural Alliance list […] “He never said he would be on the list that won’t be announced until April.”
“Pierre Gagnaire supports the list”
The three-star restaurant confirmed, however, last week information from Le Point that mentioned its presence in an “ineligible” position within this list during an event organized in New York, ensuring that the “Rural Alliance” list is “a totally apolitical movement, obviously.”
“Pierre Gagnaire supports the list but does not want to get involved politically,” Willy Schraen’s entourage tells BFMTV.com.
Other personalities had announced that they would be on the “Rural Alliance” list for these European elections. While the former rugby player Louis Picamoles announced his presence on this list, the former cycling champion Bernard Hinault, once involved in it, finally resigned from appearing there.
