Costa emphasizes the increase in the minimum wage, pensions and the reduction of the IRS in 2024

The Prime Minister believes that there will be an increase in household income in 2024, which highlights the increase in the minimum wage, pensions, a range of social benefits and the reduction of the IRS.

“In 2024, family income will improve further,” writes António Costa in messages published this Sunday, on New Year’s Eve. in your social network account (formerly Twitter).

“The national minimum wage rises to 820 euros, the largest increase ever; pensions are updated by 5% to 6%, above inflation; and the IRS cut will continue and cover all incomes,” the executive leader said.

In his message, the Prime Minister, who left this position on November 7, also points out that his government, which is in charge, “has brought forward the increase in the solidarity allowance for the elderly by two years” so that all pensioners’ incomes are above the poverty line “.

“The family benefit will be increased by 22 euros per month and the reference value of the guarantee for children will increase to 122 euros per month,” he says.

Also according to António Costa, the IRS Jovem “will be strengthened and will become 0% in the first year of operation”.

“Students up to 23 years old now have a free pass. For graduates and masters, a salary bonus of 697 euros or 1,500 euros is created for the first years of work,” the executive leader emphasizes.
