The National Rally is turning around. Although it had initially announced its participation in the march organized tomorrow afternoon by the IPJ, a group of experts close to Éric Zemmour, in tribute to Lola, Marine le Pen’s party will not attend the event.
Instead, the far-right formation will pay tribute to the teenager with a minute of silence from the national, European and regional deputies before the National Assembly.
With BFMTV, Jordan Bardella, interim president of the National Rally, explains the reasons for this change.
“The tone given by some participants tomorrow does not correspond to the initial desire for a modest and worthy tribute. […] The family has made it known that they do not want captures and partisan marches. And for this reason, their will must be respected”, he said, assuring that the RN “will deal with the political issue in the public debate”.
In the process, still with BFMTV, Éric Zemmour confirmed the realization of the march. “We maintain our presence in tribute to a little girl murdered in the middle of Paris,” he said. At the end of the day on Wednesday, the organizers replaced the term “white march” with “rally”. The latter will not be in memory of Lola either, but of “all the victims”.
political recovery
The death of the girl has reacted strongly to the extreme right. Until Sunday, the president of the extreme right party Reconquête Éric Zemmour had evoked a “Francocide”. He took office on Monday, in a cheep where he mentions the “four Algerian suspects in the case” and acts “always committed by them, always to their detriment”.
For her part, the president of the RN group in the National Assembly, Marine Le Pen, valued this Monday on Twitter that “the revelations about the profile of the woman suspected of the massacre of little Lola” were “a textbook case on the lack of control of illegal immigration in our country.” “The debate must be opened…finally,” she added.
