“Obviously, there was never any doubt that the Republicans would come to add chaos to the chaos and vote for either of the two motions, which are totally incompatible with each other,” he said on the set of LCP. .
Without LR, there is no possible censorship
For a motion of censure to be approved, the majority of deputies (289 of the 577 in the National Assembly) must vote in favor of the text. Although a coalition between the nupes and the RN seems ruled out, in the event of an alliance, the contribution of the votes of the Republicans would continue to be fundamental.
In fact, rebels, communists, environmentalists and socialists have 151 elected positions. And the National Association 89, a total of 240. Without Les Républicains and its 62 deputies, it would be impossible to reach the 289 votes necessary to approve a motion of censure.
Refusing to denounce a “coup de force” in the use of 49.3, Philippe Gossellin also acknowledges that “gestures” have been made by the presidential majority towards his party.
Fear of dissolution?
“We have some elements: lower taxation for SMEs, that is very good. We are reinforcing the budget of our municipalities that need it a lot”, quotes the deputy from La Mancha, for example.
“A budget is thousands of different points,” he continues. “It is not because we catch a few crumbs here or there that the table is full, there are some interesting elements, but it is a budget that does not correspond to the political project that we would like for France.
“However, I do not vote, and the LRs do not vote on the motion of censure. We are not going to add chaos to chaos,” she insists. Because in the event of a motion of censure, the President of the Republic could dissolve the National Assembly, and therefore call for new elections.
“We had demonstrations on Sunday, strikes yesterday, people are queuing everywhere to look for fuel. We do not know what firewood we are going to heat next winter, so we are not going to add chaos to chaos”, concludes the deputy. .
