After Élisabeth Borne’s 49-3 shot twice, Louis Boyard came from behind. The Nupes-LFI deputy from Val-de-Marne returned, in an interview with the Spot and published this Saturday, in this week of parliamentary debates and the government’s decision to forcefully approve the State budget, called the Finance Bill (PLF), as well as the “security budget”, that is, the bill Social Security Financing Law (PLFSS).
“We managed to get ahead”
And the young deputy does not get angry: “It is the role of the national representation to make the State budget, not the Government.” “Thanks to the debates we won the exit tax and a superdividend tax, and we could have continued. The Prime Minister launched the 49.3 because she did not like that the national representation made its own budget, so it should be so, he said indignantly.
Like his colleagues from the Nupes and other opposition deputies, such as the National Group, Louis Boyard regrets that the Government has put an end to the parliamentary debate. “Elisabeth Borne herself admitted that the debates were of good quality. We managed to move forward, approve amendments… It is not true to say that we do not want to move forward,” he assures.
“Why do you use 49-3? Because he does not like what is voted in the Assembly. It is the spirit of a dictator: they cannot accept that the national representation votes for things that are not the will of the President of the Republic”. “, he adds.
The discord of the motions of censure
Nupes has already presented two motions of censure, denouncing in particular an “act of authority” and “a new attack on the exercise of democracy.” “The role of an opposition is to oppose. What should we do? Not present a motion of censure, shut up and act as if nothing?” Justifies the deputy from Val-de-Marne.
For him, everyone must “assume their responsibilities”, and in particular the LR deputies, the “key to the problem”. “They have become an expanded majority since it is an opposition that does not oppose. The LRs are afraid of political clarification”, he criticizes, while the Republicans have not presented a motion of censure.
Louis Boyard, however, will not vote in favor of the National Association’s motion of censure, presented after the first 49-3, while the rest of his group remains divided on the issue. “The motion of censure of the National Association speaks of a fiscal record. We cannot vote for this at a time when we have never needed more national solidarity. The political class must also remember that ‘we must fight against the institutionalization of the RN’, he defends
