Health: the Government kicks off the negotiation between doctors and Secu

A discussion that should conclude “before the end of the first quarter of 2023”. Access to care, prevention, digital: the Minister of Health, François Braun, and his deputy minister, Agnès Firmin Le Bodo, set on Thursday the objectives of the negotiations that should open soon between the Health Insurance and the unions of doctors liberals.

“The priority of the government is to guarantee equal access to health, prevention and quality care for all”, say the ministers in the framework letter addressed to the director of Health Insurance, Thomas Fatôme.

This document formally begins the negotiation of a new agreement with liberal doctors, which will define in particular their fees and financial aid for the period 2023-2027.

Devices “favoring installation and maintenance”

It will also have to integrate certain elements already announced at the beginning of October in the framework of the National Refoundation Council, in particular “access to a general practitioner for all” and tripling the number of medical assistants to “10,000 by 2025″. ” .

Measures that the ministers want to see complemented with other devices “that favor the installation and maintenance” of practitioners in medical deserts, even if this means “optimizing existing aid” in exchange for “strong commitments from professionals.”

The government also asks “to strengthen the place of prevention”, in particular mental health, food and sports activity, but also to strengthen the fight against fraud, “which worries few professionals but contaminates the entire profession”.

The advances are also expected to “free up as much time as possible for doctors” to “allow them to follow larger numbers of patients”, including through a “new distribution of skills” with other health professions.

The negotiators are finally called to “enhance the virtuous practices” of digital tools, and first of all allow “the supervised use of telemedicine (to continue)”.

So that the future agreement can produce its effects as soon as possible, the social security budget on which the Government fired 49.3 on Wednesday night provides that this agreement be applied immediately, instead of the usual term of six months.
