The deputy of La France insoumise, Éric Coquerel, announced this Monday, October 21 on BFMTV that the rejection motion presented by his group on the finance bill had finally been withdrawn.
“We wanted to use the rejection motion because it is additional speaking time to analyze the Government’s budget, but it is clear that it is complicated to explain,” he explained on our antenna.
“We wanted to present it, but we didn’t really want it to be voted on, so we preferred to withdraw it completely, it’s simpler,” announced the president of the finance commission.
If voted by the deputies, this tool of the Constitution allows debates to be stopped before they even begin.
