This Friday, the date on which the deadline expires, the parties with parliamentary seats have submitted more than 1,600 proposals to amend the proposed state budget law for 2022 (OE2022), a new record.
According to the website of the Assembly of the Republic on the Internet, a total of 1,694 amendments had been submitted by 7:30 p.m. this Friday, in addition to the more than 1,400 proposals submitted as part of the discussion of the state budget for 2022.
The figures are not yet final, as the proposals are still being loaded into the system and the submission deadline has been extended to 9:30 PM on Friday.
Until then, however, Chega is the party that has submitted the highest number of proposals this year: 491 amendments.
This is followed by the PCP, which submitted 392 amendments, and the PSD, which submitted 255 proposals.
The PAN, on the other hand, has submitted 207 amendments, while the left bloc has submitted 152 proposals.
136 proposals from Livre and 38 from PS were also submitted to parliament.
The Liberal Initiative, in turn, was the party with the lowest number of proposals submitted: 26.
The OE2023 proposal was approved in general terms in the Assembly of the Republic on October 27 with only votes for the PS and abstentions from the sole deputies of PAN and Livre.
The final general vote on the diploma is scheduled for November 25, but before that, on November 21, discussion of the document in the specialty will begin in plenary, lasting all week, with debate in the morning and votes in the afternoon , as usual. .
