“A threat to France”: Laurent Wauquiez claims a “health cord” around LFI

In an interview with La Prensa published this Saturday, May 3, the candidate for the presidency of the Les Républicins party, Laurent Wauquiez, is virulent against the party of the left, rebellious France. “Do not respect Jean-Luc Mélenchon and his allies,” he assures the deputy of Haute-Loire.

The Chief of the Les Républicins Group at the National Assembly Laurent Wauquiez, currently in the campaign to become the leader of the party, asks the JDD “to establish a health cord around LFI”, accusing the movement of Jean-Luc Mélenchon of “threat to France.”

In an interview placed online on Saturday, May 3 on the JDD website, the deputy of Haute-Loire accuses France rebel of having “instrumentalized” the murder of a Malian in a mosque in the garden last week and using the term Islamophobia “to favor Islamism.”

“Do not respect Jean-Luc Mélenchon and his allies. They are breaking with the Republic. It is a threat to France: they are the party of national destruction, a Trojan horse of Islamism,” accuses the former president of the Regional Council of Auverne-Rhône-Alpes.

Therefore, he affirms that the “Republican parties” establish “a health cord around LFI” when giving up any political agreement with the leftist formation.

More PS-LFI alliance planned

The Socialist Party has already consumed its rest with the rebel. But on Saturday, in an interview with the newspaper.

In the JDD, Laurent Wauquiez, who decided to show a very conservative face to reduce his surveys to his competitor for the head of the LR, Interior Minister Bruno Retilleau, also requires “the creation of a research commission on links between rebel networks and Islamist networks.”

“There is a form of red privilege in our country: a guilty medium and a political tolerance against the abuses of the extreme left and their connections with the Islamists,” he denounces.
